Smoke Mirror Sunglass Lens
The Science of Color and Light at RLVNT
At RLVNT, we are constantly toying with the color and contrast of light through lenses to bring the best visual experience possible to outdoor enthusiasts.
We start with the color that is available and the color you want to see more or less of. We then manipulate that light — and consequently the color — to give you the best possible visual experience.
Manipulating color like this is similar to paint mixing. We are subtractively (removing colors or turning down colors) changing what colors you have available to see. For example:
- If we remove reds, you will see greens and blues better.
Smoke Coating
To achieve this, we made the Silver Coating, which our community named Smoke.
For this color manipulation, we turned down almost all colors evenly while still allowing the photochromic to work. This produces a soft tan visual through the lens. Smoke is also paired with the Bronze to provide a consistent grey visual experience.
The RLVNT Vision
If you love outdoor adventures, the vision experiences we are crafting will make them even better. At RLVNT, we’re striving to give enthusiasts the edge.
