The Science of Color and Light at RLVNT

At RLVNT, we are constantly toying with the color and contrast of light through lenses to bring the best visual experience possible to outdoor enthusiasts.

We start with the color that is available and the color you want to see more or less of. We then manipulate that light — and consequently the color — to give you the best possible visual experience.

Manipulating color like this is similar to paint mixing. We are subtractively (removing colors or turning down colors) changing what colors you have available to see. For example:

If we remove reds, you will see greens and blues better.

Bronze Coating

The Bronze Coating was created to enhance your visual experience in snowy conditions. To do this, we worked to turn down the brightness of white while keeping a grey contrast to make things still appear bright to the eye.
